$500 – Provides the nationally recognized 12 week program for up to 25 friends or family members supporting someone with mental illness. The program is provided by trained volunteer teachers with lived experience. The classes provide information, coping strategies, local resources and a support group for participants
$150 – Sends an appropriate and screened volunteer to train in one of our many nationally developed programs. Volunteers commit to teaching two class series or facilitating a support group for two years. These support groups – Connection for individuals with mental illness and – Family Support Group for friends and Family members – provide support resources, group wisdom and moral support for individuals.
$80 – Provides stipends for individuals trained in the In Our Own Voice presentation. Presenting is a form of advocacy that is part of the recovery process for some individuals with mental illness. The presentations are also an important public education effort to reduce stigma.
